The news of actors Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya’s engagement has taken the internet by storm. An image of the happy couple from their engagement ceremony is making its rounds winning hearts among fans. We simply cannot get our eyes off of the ‘Made in Heaven’ actor who looked ethereal in her traditional ensemble.
Keeping it minimal, Dhulipala chose a woven saree by the Bollywood-favourite designer Manish Malhotra. “Draped in a medley of textile specially sourced from the weaving communities of Andhra Pradesh, Sobhita was keen that this personal moment reflect her roots as well as pay homage to its rich traditions. She is wearing Uppada silk (from the region Uppada, Andhra Pradesh) in the golden blush colour of the Kanakaambaram, a traditional temple flower commonly worn in the hair by Telugu women as well as the eternal Padmam (lotus). The silhouette, referenced from paintings of iconic Telugu artist ‘Bapu’ – is a derivation of the classic half-saree style worn by young women of South India” shared the designer’s team on Instagram.
Known for her gorgeous features like her undeniable wide-eyed charm and eye-catching sharp jawline, the actor’s bridal choices were well curated. Dhulipala, who was last seen in Monkey Man in a high-glam look, opted for a minimal makeup and hair. The look was finished with flowers in her hair, traditionally worn by Indian women during special occasions. Her eyes were lined with kajal (kohl) accentuating her natural beauty. The actor opted for a nude lipstick and a small bindi to finish the glam. The saree look also featured some notable jewellery choices like dainty jhumkas. Keeping up with the trends, Dhulipala opted to layer multiple dainty necklaces that included a choker and two long necklaces.
